Beach & Sea Art:
In these art sessions with Tactile Arts, we’ll be creating artwork themed around the beach and sea, working with a wide range of art techniques to create exciting artworks.
We’ll be looking at sea creatures, coral, beach activities and underwater animals and creating our own seasides in Manchester!
Each session will have a different focus so children are more than welcome to join more than once, there won’t be any repeats of activities.
Suitable for ages 4-11 £10
Younger sibling can be booked into play centre at the same time for only £6.

Rhythm and Rhyme Summer Sessions
10am and 11am Thursday 4th August and Thursday 18th August

Join the musical sensory adventure that is Rhythm and Rhyme. Singing, instruments, dancing, drumming, bubbles and sensory fun for you and your little one. All activities are designed to support development and encourage bonding. Every themed class, whether it’s a trip into space or visiting the seaside is brought to life using sensory lights and props to inspire young minds.

Summer Holiday Lego Club

Looking for something for your school-aged children to do over the summer holidays and still need to keep your pre-schooler entertained?
The hugely popular Bricklands Lego Club will be running 2 sessions at Explore and Play for children aged between 5 to 10 years old. If you have younger children, you can book them a play session in the play centre at the same time!
Bricklands Lego Club have a huge array of Lego to choose from. Your child will be able to free play with the Lego, select from over 150 sets to build and then take part in a build and race challenge.

Little Groovers Summer Specials
9.30am and 10.30am 19th August
Little Groovers is an award-winning interactive class led by trained musicians. Sing, play percussion instruments and encourage your little one’s natural musicality through props and activities. But, most of all, have FUN!
They will be hosting two summer special sessions on the 19th August. Places are limited so, book below to avoid disappointment.
Kalmalife Yoga
We are very excited to be starting Friday yoga at Explore and Play from September.
We have two weeks of taster classes for you and your baby to try.
After the class you are welcome to have a drink and brunch/lunch in the cafe. Or explore the play areas (£4 for all yoga students)

Dinosaur Dig
From 10.30am 11th August
Put on your palaeontologist hat and dig for dinosaur bones. Once you have uncovered a skeleton and matched it with the correct dinosaur, you can then junk model your own dinosaur to take home.
Suitable for children 5 to 10 years, this event will be held just outside the play centre in the square. It will last 30min and children will be working with kinetic sand, glue and paint so, might get messy. Adults do not have to join in but are responsible for the safety of their children at all times.
